Candidate FAQs

Registration & Bidding

  • Each student may receive a maximum of 5 interviews.

  • Firms will directly select 90% of the students they interview. The remaining 10% of interview slots will be filled through a lottery system based on student rankings. Those selected for interviews will receive an email from the FloRecruit platform with your interview match information.

  • FloRecruit offers a live chat feature located at the bottom-right corner of your account dashboard. Additionally, FloRecruit’s student guide collection contains helpful information on entering schedule conflicts, applying for jobs, reviewing and responding to employer decisions, and attending your interviews.

Invitations & Interviews

    • If you have just completed or are about to complete your 1L year, you should register as a 2L.

    • If you have just completed or are about to complete your 2L year, you should register as a 3L.

    • If you have just completed or are about to complete your 3L year, you should register as “post-graduate.”

  • Each student receives 10 bids.

  • We recommend researching firms carefully before placing bids. Some helpful factors to consider include: 

    1. The number of available positions 

    2. Whether you fit any specific criteria

    3. Any personal or professional connection you may have to the firm’s location or practice area(s)

    4. Your demonstrated interest or experience relevant to the firm’s work 

    5. Whether the firm tends to recruit from particular schools or geographic regions

  • Yes, students can change their bids anytime before the application deadline.

  • This document should be a short paragraph or two explaining why you are specifically interested in the term. It is an opportunity to demonstrate that you have researched the firm and to highlight interests, motivations, or experiences not fully reflected elsewhere in your application materials.

  • Firms are advertised as participants in the job fair generally, but they may not be hiring for every type of position or class year.
